It is a blessing I think Ayn Rand who loved the movie and actually worked in the industry is not alive to see what has been done of her most influential novel. The new long-awaited film adaptation of Atlas Shrugged is a mess full talk embalmed succumbs poor performance effects and cinematography which are unlikely to come into a TV show. Meeting on this picture is like watching a game earlier samples which is obviously doomed to failure. The film is particularly disappointing because the edge in the 1957 book while centrally related to the ethical philosophy inevitably more Talky is a juicy story that could make a sensational film more hands. This possibility can not now be closed. Since each read probably know the story is strong-willed Dagny Taggart to fight to save their family Taggart Transcontinental Railroad from mismanagement of his brother James is a moral weakling and metastasis of the Government's achievements. Dagny finds a kindred spirit in Henry Rearden, mainly industrialist who plans a new kind of steel Dagny used in expanding the Trans Continental decaying should be formulated. She and Rearden oppose at every turn by corrupt politicians and corporate titans collectivist from their addiction to the government teat. Meanwhile the most productive business of the country through rampant political interference demoralized disappear one by one from the public stage. A mysterious figure named John Galt seems to have something to do with it.
